Welcome to 4th Grade Science!

I am Jessica Grace, and will be your child's science teacher this year.  As we progress throughout the year I hope you notice an increase in science vocabulary, content, and a new sence of curiosity!

 

*Science Vocabulary will be given out each MONDAY and asessed each FRIDAY.*

  

NTI DAY Plans for March 16-April 3rd

*Your child MUST  complete and TURN IN ALL assignments in order to be counted for a day of school.  

*IF YOU DO NOT TURN IN ALL WORK< EACH DAY OF MISSING WORK WILL BE ONE UNEXCUSED ABSENCE.

Day1 Read the “Dog Detectives” article. Complete the No Sweat Bubble Test.

Day 2 Complete the Food Web worksheet.

Day 3 Research your favorite animal.  Write a paragraph describing some of the adaptations it has for survival and growth. (examples: Does your animal have fur? Thin skin? How does it breath? What does it eat? What does it have that helps it get its food?)

Day 4 Read the article “Beyond the Beehive” and complete the Pollination Partners worksheet

Day 5 Reread “Beyond the Beehive” from yesterday. Complete the Think it Through sheet.

Day 6 Research your favorite plant.  Write a paragraph describing some of the adaptations it has for survival, growth and reproduction. (examples: What do plants need to survive? How do they eat?  Does your plant need to be pollinated or does it have spores or cones?)

 

Day 7 Read the article “Into the Fire” and complete the Think it Through worksheet.

Day 8 Read “Into the Deep” and complete the worksheet The Deepest Dives
