Bio

Hello, my name is Chelsea Tyler. Words cannot express how thrilled I am to be working with your child. I am thankful and grateful to have this opportunity with your child during the school year. This opportunity will be begin during the month of August and end during the month of May. My goal is to show your child how much S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) is used on a daily basis and how much fun S.T.E.M can be.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Murray State University, along with a minor in Criminal Justice under my belt as well. My hometown is in Pembroke, KY. I have a six-year-old son, who is attending 1st grade here at Millbrooke Elementary. He is the love of my life and my motivation to keep striving for success. Failure is simply not an option, especially when you have someone calling you “Momma”.

I truly believe that the children are the future. My role, as a teacher, will be to educate, guide, and prepare your child for the “real world”. I want to teach elementary because I was always told to, “... train up a child in the way they should go and when they get older, they will not depart from it.” In other words, get them while they are young. I feel that this generation of children are not lost; they just need some guidance and someone to be there for them and I am ready for that responsibility.

Ever since I can remember, people would come to me for advice and comfort. When I was in the classroom, I would be the one helping the teacher out with other students. While growing up, I was known as the famous “Teacher’s Pet”. I liked the feeling of being somewhat of a teacher and helping others succeed. I became a teacher to change the lives of children.

Even if I cannot change all of their lives, if I can change just one child’s life my life will be completed. I feel like we are all placed on this Earth for a purpose, and my purpose is to teach. Not only to teach, but to guide, comfort, and make a difference. To me teaching is not a job/career, but it is considered more of a lifestyle. A lifestyle that I am willing to take on. Once again, I am thankful and grateful to have this opportunity with your child. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact through Millbrooke Elementary School’s number or via email at Chelsea.Tyler@christian.kyschools.us.

Sincerly,

Ms. Chelsea Tyler
