Principal's Bio

My name is Anissa Hendricks and it is my privilege to serve as the principal at Millbrooke Elementary School. Having celebrated our 50th year of touching children's lives, Millbrooke continues to build upon a history of academic excellence. We strive each day to continue the tradition of producing confident, caring, and successful students. We are very proud of our students' accomplishments in the past, present, and future.

I actually attended Millbrooke myself, in 1st-3rd grades, with Mr. Don Holmes as my principal. Years earlier, my father, Clyde Lile, started his teaching career at Millbrooke in 1964. Millbrooke is like home to our family. After graduating from CCHS, I earned my BA, MA, and Rank I from Murray State. I began my teaching career in 1990, at Highland Elementary School where I taught primary for 6 years. Later, I taught primary at Morningside Elementary before coming to Millbrooke in 1999, under Mr. John W. Pyle. I am starting my twelfth year as the principal at Millbrooke. I have a 17 year old who is a proud Millbrooke graduate.

I dare say, you will not find a harder working, smarter, more caring faculty and staff than we have at Millbrooke. They are dedicated to providing the very best instruction for ALL students based on our Common Core State Standards. Student achievement and attainment of at least one year's growth is our focus, and we keep that in mind with every decision we make. We work to provide a variety of opportunities for our students to get involved in and excel. We strive to eMpower our students. I hope you will take the time yourself to see what a great place Millbrooke is to work and learn! You are always welcome at 415 Millbrooke Drive!
